September & October 2013 Ipsy Bag Hits & Misses

September Ipsy Bag:

I was really looking forward to my Ipsy bag, but when I opened my package I was pretty disappointed with pretty much everything except the bag itself. The NYX eyeshadow is nice, but I probably will never use it because I already have tons of palettes with a shade similar to charcoal. The mascara I've seen reviews on and most people were not happy with the results. The eyeliner is a black liner which I might save as a back up when I finish the rest of the black liners I already own. The Shampoo and conditioner are nice travel sizes, but I did try it when I traveled earlier this month and I did not like them at all. September was pretty much a BIG MISS for me.

I was crossing my fingers in hopes that this months bag would not be as bad as last months bag was for me and I was really happy to see some nice items in my bag. The bag has a really cute message. The eyeshadow is a really pretty purple color and purple is great for people with brown eyes like me! :) The lotion smells really nice and is thick, but not too greasy. It quickly absorbs into the skin which I love and it's perfect for throwing into my purse. The Zoya nail polish is a beautiful color!! It's an Emerald green. I just put it on my nails right now and I am in love with the vibrant color. It also is a full size not like the mini size I've gotten in a Birchbox in the past. The Spray Clay I'm kind of iffy about since I really don't use hairspray anyways. Lastly, the Coastal Scents brush I am really happy with. I was actually going to purchase another brush like this one and I'm so glad I didn't. Overall, the month of October was a HIT for me!
