How To: Watercolor Nails

I have always loved the look of watercolor mani's. I decided to do my own and it is actually pretty easy to do...I don't think anyone can mess this up.

Nail polish used (left to right):
  • Wet n Wild Sugar Coat
  • Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-mint
  • Color Club (I doesn't have a name)
  • Essie Play Date
  • China Glaze I'm Not Lion
  • Milani Jewel FX Gold
First I used my favorite base coat (OPI Nail Envy). After that I used 2 coats of WnW Sugar Coat as a base coat for all of my nails except my thumb and ring finger. I used 2 coats of CG I'm Not Lion on my ring finger and thumb.

I used a piece of foil to place my drops of polish. I did one color at a time because I didn't to mix colors or have the nail polish dry on the foil. I did pink first and I just put a couple drops on the foil. I used a nail art brush and dipped it into nail polish remover then I mixed the drops of pink polish with it to thin out the polish.

I randomly painted different size spots on my nails. First with the pink then Essie Play Date and after that I used WnW I Need A Refresh-Mint.

I used Milani Jewel FX on top of CG I'm Not Lion. I also decided to put two glitters on each of the other nails. I finished all the nails with some Seche Vite top coat.

It turned out pretty and it was so easy to do! I really want to try other color combinations soon.
